Damian thanks his midlife crisis for getting him into ultramarathon running. He has represented his country, recorded competitive results at some of the world’s toughest races and set seven records/fastest known times (FKTs).

All while consumed alarming amounts of tea and custard, it seems. He has recently written a book about it all, shortly to be published through Vertebrate Publishing – you can pre-order it here.

Damian enjoys coaching other runners, and company employees, to reach their potential. His inov-8 daps are regularly muddied in Britain’s glorious South West, especially in the Brecon Beacons and the Cotswolds where he grew up and now lives again. All in all, he just loves being in the great outdoors, bimbling somewhere lumpy.

Though he no longer has much time for media work, he is still a journalist and author with more than 20 years’ experience of writing for and editing magazines, newspapers, books and websites. He would like to thank you for reading all that self-aggrandising nonsense.
