Maybe you’re a veteran of ultrarunning, long-distance mountain or fellrunning. Maybe you’ve done a few, and are looking forward to doing more. Perhaps you’ve never dipped your toe into this particular water. Whichever of those you are, you’re in the right place.

ULTRA festival has a wide range of talks and seminars (well, ‘webinars’) about ultrarunning. There are chats with world-record-beating runners like Nicky Spinks, Damian Hall and Bruce Fordyce; advice on gear from Mike Parsons (who founded both Karrimor and OMM, and now helps run the advisory company Outdoor Gear Coach, so he above most other people knows what he’s on about when it comes to choice and use of kit).

We have a discussion about sustainability with Jim Mann (Trees Not Tees), Dan and Charlotte Lawson (Rerun Clothing) and Damian Hall, who is trying to become carbon neutral as a runner. We have a session from experienced ultrarunners Sabrina Pace-Humphreys, ULTRA’s editor Andy Nuttall, Javed Bhatti and coach and GB trail runner Sophie Grant that try to answer basic questions from people who are totally new to ultras. We have a discussion panel with RDs James Elson, John Duncan and Jane Stephens about the future of the sport, and we have a coaching advice session from top coaches Robbie Britton and James Elson. We have a discussion about tackling the Bob Graham Round during winter with Shane Ohly and ULTRA’s own Robin Bush. And more to be announced!

It’s all for a good cause – 100% of proceeds will go to the Chris Lewis Support Fund, the Patterdale Mountain Rescue volunteer who was critically injured in a fall while out on a rescue earlier this year. And it’s only a fiver for a ticket! Plus, we have a free option for those who really can’t afford it, plus a pay-it-forward plan for those who can.

We think there really is something for everyone here. So why not let ‘You?’ be you, and buy a ticket here now?
